KUALA LUMPUR 25 November - The Menara Felda project will give big returns to Felda's young generation, said Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Ahmad Maslan.

He told Dewan Rakyat that the project in Jalan Tun Razak, not far from Petronas Twin Towers, was not wasteful and had already generated profit despite not yet completed.

"We bought the land in 2008 at RM930 per sq ft but the price has now risen to RM1,400-RM1,500 per sq ft giving Felda profit of about RM300mil.

SHAH ALAM 25 November - There was high drama at the Shah Alam court compound when former Air Force sergeant N Tharmendran was re-arrested by eight Air Force personnel.

The incident occured at 11.45am just after the Shah Alam High Court had fixed Dec 17 for decision on Tharmendran's application to strike out the charge for the theft of two fighter jet engines.

On Jan 6, Tharmendran, 42, was charged under Section 380, read together with Section 109 of the Penal Code, with theft together with former company director K Rajandra Prasad, 38.

KUALA LUMPUR 15 November - Senior lawyer Karpal Singh has reminded the judge presiding over the Anwar Ibrahim trial that the case is under worldwide scrutiny.
